we spoke the other day and i told him how blah i’ve been.
he bought two tickets to see the new “halloween” for a late night showing.
i wanted to see it since the trailer…
so let’s get into the movie…
now i love jamie lee curtis.
she’s one of my favorite scream queens.
i love all the movies i’ve seen her in.
i have nothing bad to say about my activia bae.
THE MOVIE WAS UNDERWHELMING THO
i didn’t really like it.
i found myself getting bored af while watching.
my first issue was the pacing of the movie.
it seemed to move really fast and scenes didn’t connect for me.
i’m gonna post some things i had questions about.
potential spoilers,
but i THINK i’ve found a new way to do it without spoiling for anyone.

when he killed those two reporters,
how tf did he know where they were?
and how did he know to look in their trunk to get his mask?
they could have left out most of the black kid and the babysitter.
it ran too long.
some of the deaths were just “deaths”.
like he walked into random folks houses and killed them.
they didn’t have any connection within the story.
so the doctor went crazy because michael was crazy?
why did michael even kill his number 1 fan?
the grand daughter’s acting wasn’t terrifying enough.
when i watch a horror movie,
i want to feel terror.
the only time i felt terror for her is when she was in the backseat with michael.
some of the death scenes were brutal.
it was like a contest of who could kill someone the worst.
there was no “first” showdown between laurie and michael.
like a:
…type of situation that made us all clap.
she had a better one in h20:
i did enjoy seeing michael one last time (?),
as he is an iconic slasher legend,
but i didn’t care for this movie.
i could’ve waited for it to hit bluray tbh.
i’m sure you might feel different or even the same.
